Outstanding!!! It seems like lately I am lucking into hitting some great spots. This one is no exception. Service and food were really on point, and tasted fantastic! I attacked the hush puppies pretty quickly, they come in a larger quantity. :-) so good!!!!
Lauren was our waitress , she was phenomenal ! Very kind , professional and attentive . The atmosphere was inviting , cool on a hot June day . I had the bacon cheeseburger , which was a little salty , but besides that , delicious ! My friend had the Reuben , which he said was fantastic ! The potato salad was the best part of the meal ! Would definitely recommend .
Casual dining, comfortable relaxed atmosphere, tasty food with excellent presentation. Portions are generous but not gluttonous. Iced tea was excellent, with a wide variety of other options. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Parking a bit scarce.
We ate here for the first time tonight. The Brussel sprouts were melt in your mouth delicious. We had the Pesto and Mozarella Pizza. It was yummy! Our server was fabulous. I accidentally left my purse and the server met me at the door with it. Such a wonderful space, and relaxing atmosphere.
This was a nice little stop! Decided to dive in to Midway for no reason other than it was lunch time and we were near by. Saw the Goose and Gander and decide to give it a try. soft drink and an adult drink, salad, fish sandwitch, and a pretzel with beer cheese. The staff was really nice. And had a wry sense of humor.....The Lemonchelo Manhatten was fab, and the salad and fish sandwitch were good meals...... but the pretzel and beer cheese was SO GOOD! To try to explain the chewy/tender nuances of the Pretzel and the PERFECTLY balance flavor of the cheese is just not possible. You MUST go and have one as part of a meal.... or get two as the meal..... As a side note....Midway was a fun little town surrounded by beautiful countryside... it was a relaxing and refreshing place to visit....
Took another trip to Midway, this time to eat at the Goose and Gander!! It was great! The food was amazing, I had the grilled pork chops with apple butter and a side of mashed potatoes with gravy and stewed apples. The Mrs had the fried chicken club and it was huge. The couple with us had the hot brown and the Goose cubano! When we return for another visit we will have to try the pizza, so many tables were enjoying the pizza selections!
